What To Expect
As a Construction Project Manager for the Site Team, you will play a critical role in managing and executing construction projects from concept to turn-over. You will work closely with your project team, design engineering and permitting teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications, and bring a site from nothing to full operations - geotechnical exploration, survey, clearing, grading, roadways, soil improvements, foundations, utilities, and exterior infrastructure. Your technical expertise, organizational skills, and ability to effectively communicate will be key in coordinating and facilitating various aspects of the construction process.
What You'll Do
Development of project plans, scopes of work, schedules, and budgetsCoordinate with the project superintendents to establish project objectives, deliverables, and timelinesCollaborate with the design team, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and drawings including resolving design clashesPrepare and maintain project documentation, including cost forecasts, material trackers, permits, schedules, take-offs, as-builts, and progress reportsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, and industry standardsMonitor and audit project costs, invoices, & billings, comparing actuals against the budget while also Identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering alternativesConduct regular project meetings (virtual, in-person, and field) to discuss progress, milestones, and upcoming activities
What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience5+ years of construction experience, primarily in underground utility systems, water/wastewater, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), jack-&-bore, earthwork, shoring systems, and/or roadwaysStrong knowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, and safety protocolsAbility to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and aggressive goals using a proactive approachProficiency in project management software, design tools, and scheduling softwareAbility to problem-solve and make difficult decisions rooted in dataConfident in decision making ability and coordinating among key stakeholders
