Summary
The Production Supervisor I is responsible for maintaining a safe and productive work environment, following all applicable regulations. Create a positive and highly effective working environment based on mutual respect and a shared goal of being the number one supplier to our customers. Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with both internal departments as well as external resources.
Responsibilities:
[Support Production Leadership]
- Support Team Leader and Operations Part Leader for the department
- Manage Work Orders and other related items and follow up with related supporting teams (equipment, facilities, shipping) for timely completion
- Track KPI’s
- Monitor and track department production results (daily) and communicate with production teams
- Manage the daily production meeting results and track the action items
- Track the action items assigned to Engineers, Supervisors, and Crew Leaders (Safety Meetings, WQM, Planning Meetings, etc.)
[Supervise Coordinators]
- Supervise production and training coordinators and oversee their work activities
- Maintain an environment that rewards good performance and encourages initiative, quality, communication, and efficiency
- Provide timely and consistent feedback on performance, including following the defined disciplinary process for all employee performance issues
- Manage overall training programs of hourly (Advanced training, Skill Matrix, Alert, skill evaluation, flexibility)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate Degree preferred
Experience:
- 3 to 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1 to 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience in managing departmental, team member, and individual goals
- Experience in managing performance, and a corrective action process as needed
- Experience or knowledge of basic accounting systems preferred
