This role involves designing and developing innovative mechanical components for Tesla's vehicle platforms as part of the Vehicle Development Team. What You'll Do
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for vehicle platformsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs into overall vehicle architectureCreate detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturingConduct testing and validation to ensure design performance and reliabilityIterate on designs based on feedback from testing and production teamsContribute to innovative solutions for complex engineering challengesSupport the transition of designs from concept to production
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experienceEvidence of exceptional ability in engineering or related fieldsDesign engineering experience with interest in multidisciplinary engineeringHands-on experience in building or prototyping physical systemsProficiency in hand-sketching as a form of engineering communicationAutomotive engineering experience with seating systems preferred but not required

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $234,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
