We seek a highly motivated hands-on engineer for a position in the Electronics Test and Automation Group, a team focused on creating robust characterization equipment for our Optimus hardware components.
This team concentrates on mechanical, electrical, and software test systems supporting Optimus development. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team emphasizes collaboration in our work and always encourages each other to have to fun while changing the world together.
What You'll Do
Design high-level and detailed-level CAD models of characterization and test equipmentLayout electrical/pneumatic schematicsEstablish clear, concise test plans, and control test plan executionSupport build, debug, validate, and fine-tune equipment for release to productionParticipate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limitsAble to define most efficient plan for testing, focusing on test time reduction and simplicity to promptly release equipmentInteract with various design, manufacturing, sustaining, and firmware teams throughout projectEstablish great working relationships with vendors and managing their deliverablesContinually design and implement improvements to released equipment
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years of experience as a Mechanical, Mechatronics or Test EngineerProficiency with design process integration and electromechanical / mechatronic systemsDemonstrated excellence in a Manufacturing, or Testing environmentExposure to a wide variety of test systems, production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment (pogo-pins, pressure transducers, temperature controllers, current meters, etc.)Versed in SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD softwareExperience creating technical specifications for test equipmentProject Management experience is a plusExperience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production desiredKnowledge of production quality metrics is a plus

Expected Compensation
$109,600 - $195,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
