What To Expect
The Technology Team is responsible for the commercialization and implementation of production processes for Tesla’s Lithium and Recycling organization at GWh scale. We are looking for a highly motivated Chemical/Process Engineer to support commissioning and operations efforts at Tesla’s new Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Through a high degree of creative freedom, you’ll be working alongside a muti-disciplinary team on the execution of high value and globally impactful projects with a novel approach.
What You'll Do
Monitor plant performance and generate optimization pathways for a first-of-a-kind refineryProvide technical support and guidance throughout the installation and commissioning processConduct technical reviews and evaluations of equipment designs to identify areas for improvement and optimization
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or equivalent experienceEffective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersProficiency in SYSCAD and PIExperience in commissioning of a refinery at commercial scaleStrong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including fluid dynamics, inorganic chemistry and thermodynamicsExperience in consolidating large datasets and using data visualizations tools (e.g. Power BI, Powerpoint, Excel)2+ years of industry experienceAbility to communicate insights from large, complex datasets in a simplified mannerAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
