EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Construction Deployment Manager for one of our partners that is at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution, dedicated to developing top-quality EV charging station infrastructure that powers the future of sustainable transportation. In this position, you will oversee the execution of electric vehicle charging station installations, managing all aspects of project coordination, installation management, budgeting, client and contractor collaboration, and reporting while driving the successful deployment of fast-charging infrastructure across diverse locations. This hybrid role requires 1-3 days of on-site visits weekly while spending the remaining time at the Stamford, CT office. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Stamford, CT, to effectively manage both field and office responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise electric vehicle charging infrastructure deployments throughout multiple regions, orchestrating comprehensive turnkey and hybrid installation projects at commercial, municipal, and healthcare facilities
- Control project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and maintain adherence to established quality benchmarks
- Monitor project finances, implementing cost-control strategies while preserving high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction levels
- Supervise financial performance to guarantee project completion within defined parameters, timeline requirements, and budgetary constraints
- Oversee and direct the subcontractor bidding process for electric vehicle charging installation sites
- Develop and administer purchase order systems, guaranteeing prompt and precise contractor and vendor compensation
- Execute payment processing while maintaining comprehensive documentation for all project-related financial transactions
- Partner directly with clients and contractors to verify that installations comply with established organizational standards
- Identify and resolve project obstacles or modifications that emerge during installation to preserve timeline integrity and client satisfaction
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to coordinate material procurement and verify installations satisfy grant program requirements for funding compliance and qualification
- Utilize ProCore and similar project management platforms to oversee 90-100 concurrent projects per month while delivering comprehensive status updates and progress documentation to senior leadership
- Document and organize comprehensive records of project achievements, challenges, and milestone completions
- Facilitate relationships with utility companies and municipal authorities to secure required permits and regulatory approvals for timely project completion
- Overcome regulatory obstacles and compliance issues to sustain project progress and momentum
- Assess project expenditures and deployment methodologies regularly to discover cost-reduction opportunities, improve resource utilization, and enhance overall project effectiveness
- Support sales initiatives and business expansion by utilizing established EPC contractor partnerships to generate new business opportunities and drive organizational growth
- Collaborate with Site Development teams to develop or identify preliminary site layouts for project evaluation
- Execute additional assignments and responsibilities as directed by senior management
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of construction management experience supervising Level 3 charging station deployments
- 3-7 years of demonstrated project management expertise, specifically in EV charging infrastructure implementation, clean energy installations, or comparable industry sectors
- Solid foundation in financial planning, budget oversight, and expense control for complex, large-scale construction projects
- Proficiency in procurement processes, payment processing, and purchase order management utilizing systems such as NetSuite and Procore
- Capacity to juggle numerous concurrent projects while maintaining precision and consistently meeting project deadlines
- Exceptional client relationship management capabilities with a track record of successfully working with prestigious clientele
- Skilled in facilitating coordination between contractors, utility providers, government agencies, and various project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Competency with project monitoring and reporting platforms including Salesforce
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with proven success in cross-departmental collaboration to achieve project objectives
- Forward-thinking, problem-solving approach with emphasis on maximizing project efficiency and strategic resource management
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in electric vehicle infrastructure, clean energy, or large-scale construction sectors
- Familiarity with clean energy funding opportunities and grant application requirements
- Design assistance experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Master electrician certification with hands-on electrical installation experience
- A college degree is preferred but not required for candidates with relevant industry experience
