Job Summary:
The Indirect Purchasing Lead will manage purchasing activities for Indirect and MRO purchased components and materials as a key member of the Purchasing Team. This individual will manage inventory, supply, and reorder points. The position will act as functional lead, supporting a development process and work in close collaboration with the needs of all North American locations.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and manage all Indirect and MRO suppliers. Including pricing agreements, contract implementation, supplier maintenance.
- Develop a strategy to reduce costs incurred and meet budget requirements for the organization on an annual basis, including targets rolled out to improve profitability.
- Create POs for all North American locations, working with requisitioners to maintain an up-to-date PO process in the areas of purchasing services, MRO, testing supplies, off-the-shelf miscellaneous items, and web purchases
- Manage all inventories on MRI and indirect purchasing for all North American locations, inclusive of establishing re-points at all locations.
- Work with requisitioner on PO request errors and information updates, including additional information.
- Facilitate (NDA) Non- Disclosure Agreement with suppliers.
- Vendor Master for all new suppliers. Add documentation in PLEX for new suppliers (W9, supplier registration, service suppliers).
- Ensure data continuity within the PLEX system via audits.
- Ensure shared document continuity and record keeping of all contracts, internal approvals, KPIs procedures, and any other critical needs for the organization.
- Track, interpret, and communicates supplier performance and department KPI performance for our company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain from a four-year college or university or ten (10) years of work experience in a business environment.
- Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in purchasing and procurement or similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience with ERP systems (PLEX a plus).
- Ability to thrive, without much oversight, in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
