The Global Sourcing Director will lead and oversee the company's worldwide sourcing strategy, with an immediate emphasis on vendor rationalization, compliance, standardization to scale rapidly, and ensuring a robust and resilient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align EMEA, APAC, NOAM, and LATAM sourcing strategies and processes to consolidate vendors in each region and establish a network of preferred suppliers.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Manage global sourcing projects to support rapid growth and changing business needs.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers worldwide, conducting thorough due diligence and risk assessments.
- Manage a team of sourcing professionals across multiple regions, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, operations, finance, and legal to ensure alignment of sourcing activities with business needs.
- Implement and maintain sourcing best practices, policies, and procedures across the organization.
- Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and geopolitical factors to anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the sourcing process and reduce costs.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance and sourcing effectiveness.
- Stay informed about global trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence across all sourcing activities.
- Keep clients informed regularly about sourcing activities, progress, and key developments:
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise updates on sourcing initiatives and their impact on business operations
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with clients across different regions and time zones
- Proactively address client concerns and questions related to global sourcing strategies
- Present to C-suite level executives and board members:
- Develop and deliver high-level presentations on global sourcing strategies, performance, and future plans

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and process improvements
- Strong understanding of international business practices, trade regulations, and cultural nuances
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities
- Exceptional leadership and team management experience
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives
- Strong ability to translate complex sourcing data and strategies into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
