The Tesla Internal Audit Team’s mission is to protect the company by calling attention to critical risks and driving management action to address those risks. Internal projects are driven by two guiding principles – Keep Tesla Safe and Enable Operational Excellence. The Team achieves its objective by collaborating with functional and business/product groups to identify areas of risk, making valuable recommendations on process and control improvements, cost reduction, and operational excellence.

Tesla Internal Audit team is seeking a Program Manager with relevant Construction, Compliance and Operational Audit experience. This is a high-visibility role where you will be interacting with all levels of personnel within the company. The ideal candidate will leverage the knowledge of audit, internal controls, financial and business operations
What You'll Do
Utilize a risk-based approach to plan, scope, and execute both short-term and complex audit projects within the construction and manufacturing environmentsManage audit project lifecycle from design through closeout, including activities such as procurement, contracting, safety, administration, compliance, productivity, and contractor managementPerform periodic onsite risk assessments and assurance activities over physical construction, the effectiveness of processes and controls, and compliance with organizational policies and proceduresServe as process consultant to standardize operational and financial processes including major capex projects, manufacturing facility operations, superchargers, and retail facilitiesPerform in-process and closeout construction cost and billings reviews, working with management, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate and facilitate cost recoveriesProvide well-thought-out recommendations around construction planning and execution, and work with management to drive change through process improvement and standardizationPrepare formal management reports and presentations covering audit observations and corresponding recommendations on operational and control improvements, and facilitate management action plans
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experienceCPA, CA, CIA, CCA, CCP, PMP, or other relevant certificationsRelevant construction, compliance, and operational audit experienceStrong knowledge of audit, internal controls, financial, and business operationsAbility to demonstrate a "can do" attitude and "go getter" personalityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with all levels of personnel within the company
