In this position...
In this role, you will work actively in a laboratory/pilot line setting on a diverse, multi-functional team producing development-level battery cells to progress our Battery technology that will be deployed in our next generation electrified vehicles. This will be a very hands-on opportunity with most time spent out at the Pilot Line working with the manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Work collaboratively in a prototype lab with scientists and engineers to make battery cells from raw materials.
- Operate state-of-the-art production-level battery cell manufacturing equipment through all stages of cell manufacturing – Hands-On
- Ensure inventory in-place to conduct development builds
- Conduct quality inspections on parts you’ve just produced
- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure full suite of quality checks are conducted and learnings are fed back to cell build team.
- Drive continuous improvement of operations and process
- Support establishment of procedures and documentation of lessons learned
Qualifications
You'll have...
- Associate's degree
- Motivated self-starter and creative problem solver
- Willingness to be in a hands-on role and learn to operate cell manufacturing equipment
- Ability to effectively collaborate
Even better, you may have...
- Experience in Lithium Ion Battery or Electric Vehicle development
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in a Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Experience in Production or Prototype manufacturing environment
- Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office tools suite
