Role SummaryThis role will significantly impact the development and growth of Rivian's ethics and compliance program and risk management activities supporting Rivian’s corporate strategy and objectives. While the role will initially focus on anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering programs, the individual will also be responsible for several core ethics and compliance program areas, with opportunities to develop subject matter expertise and risk management know-how across a broad spectrum of risk areas (40+) of the Ethics & Compliance Team’s Compliance Risk Oversight Program.
Responsibilities- Advise on regulatory, ethics, and compliance-related risks by anticipating and detecting potential exposure given Rivian’s evolving risk proclivity and business footprint.
- Consult on ethics, compliance, and business conduct queries, reporting, and disclosures.
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance-related policies, procedures, training, risk assessments, and controls related to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, as well as associated policies and procedures.
- Gap assess the state of risk management programs against current and future regulatory frameworks and standards
- Design and implement anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and know your customer programs.
- Build strong partnerships with risk stakeholders to facilitate risk-informed decision-making, develop mitigation plans, and implement programs that support compliance objectives.
- Increase employee awareness and engagement regarding the importance of a culture of ethics and compliance, including enterprise-wide and local communications campaigns, tone at the top and the middle messaging, and employee-facing guidance and resources.
- Develop, analyze, and mature risk metrics, dashboards, and reports to enable effective oversight of ethics and compliance programs and control environments by the Ethics & Compliance Team, executive leadership, and governance bodies.
- Assist with compliance-related inquiries, audits, and investigations by internal teams, external parties, and regulatory authorities.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position.
Qualifications- 5+ years of professional experience in multinational, complex, fast-growing global organizations, preferably involving technology and/or manufacturing.
- 3+ years of proven ethics, compliance, and/or risk management-related experience, including related expertise such as legal, consulting, audit, or other risk area-specific roles across the first, second, or third lines of defense.
- Demonstrated proficiency in risk management related to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering / know-your-customer programs.
- Knowledge of significant regulatory compliance requirements, with practice in spotting emerging trends and new and evolving issues.
- Experience developing risk assessments, performing gap analyses, and managing relationships with key business stakeholders at all levels of the organization and externally.
- Demonstrated track record of effective reporting to senior management, with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Organizational, project management, and operational planning skills with a deadline-centric and action-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace.
Pay DisclosureSalary Range for Normal, IL based applicants: $125,000 - $157,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for Irvine, CA based applicants: $137,000 - $172,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for Palo, CA based applicants: $149,000 - $187,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
