What To Expect
Tesla is currently recruiting for a motivated and accomplished Engineering Test Technician to support the development, implementation and application of a wide variety of test and validation plans/methods with our engineering development team. In this role, you will have a broad scope of responsibility from creating electrical and mechanical test fixtures, to executing test plans and writing test reports.
What You'll Do
Build, assemble and setup of test/validation equipment and fixturesInstall electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic circuitry and controls or data circuitsInstallation and use of data acquisition equipment and other instrumentationDocument and report on issues found during test and work closely with Test Engineering to address these. Record and analyze test dataSupport the development of test/validation plans and methods that assure reliability, structural and other engineering targets are met by the component/system testedMaintain test/validation equipmentSupport other projects as needed by management as business needs change
What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering or Technology (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Related) and/or equivalent working experience Candidates with previous experience on programing or script development will stand out among applicantsLow and High voltage/power experience preferredDemonstrated understanding of engineering and reliability fundamentals that includes electromagnetic interferenceAbility to operate and maintain a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, and lab equipment that includes oscilloscopes, DMMs and HV power supplies. Machining and fabricationStrong experience with reading/ interpreting wiring and harness diagrams, electrical schematics and circuits. Proficiency utilizing Solidworks or AutoCADExperience in the use of a broad variety of test, control and data acquisition equipment and software (i.e. LabVIEW, Python) is a preferred

Expected Compensation
$27.45 - $34.97/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
