Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.
The Workplace Operations Manager at BlueOval SK will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facilities from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Oversee the installation and offer operational support for the BlueOval SK facility portfolio, including the manufacturing plant, medical building, commissary, and marketplaces, as well as other buildings and related support functions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, Finance, and Purchasing Teams to create, negotiate, and deploy service contracts to support all business functions, including building maintenance, office supplies, food services, security, mail services, and more.
- Develop and deploy business tools and processes to support BOSK corporate and production operations, such as cell phones, computers, maintenance, facilities administration, and furniture.
- Manage, control, and analyze data related to food services in the Marketplaces to support plant population requirements
- Manage and optimize budgets and cost objectives
- Work cross functionally with hourly maintenance employees as facilities are developed and modified
- Manage and address employee relations concerns with prompt feedback
- Create and deliver presentation to senior executives, ensuring clear communication of key business updates.
- Ensure compliance with industry and corporate standards, policies, and regulations.
- Work with all BOSK business units to ensure business needs are met
- Interface with BOSK executive leadership to ensure alignment of all business functions with organizational goals.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Travel required between BlueOval SK sites in TN/KY
- Ability to work well under pressure and able to multi-task.
- Creative thinking and an ability to communicate concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, and communications skills required
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of leadership and across organizations
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years manufacturing or business administration experience preferred
- Manufacturing and production operations experience preferred
