What To Expect
Tesla cars are not complete without the suite of sensors deployed – TPMS, HVAC, Navigation/Localization, and Radar to name a few. Sensing team is seeking a test technician to support testing, characterization and validation of multiple sensors across all vehicle platforms – model S/X, 3Y, Next-gen vehicles etc. The successful candidate will be trained by Tesla engineers to execute step by-step instructions to perform various tests in the vehicle or in the laboratory environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and support them to achieve accurate and repeatable data collection. A detail-oriented mind set is a must to achieve best-in class results. This technician should be flexible and driven to achieve tasks in a start-up company environment.
What You'll Do
Support vehicle preparation, tear-down, and test execution, by working closely with the design and hardware teamsSupport Electrical hardware teams with board reworks and harness construction as dictated by prioritiesFollowing instructions to execute a SW program to generate and save performanc characterization data for different pedigree of hardwareFollowing instructions to run Python or Matlab scripts and navigate folder structure through terminal interfaceSystematically collate and organize the test results in power point or excel using basic Windows File Explorer skillsCommunicate with firmware and hardware engineers to achieve test targets

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
