Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the company’s vision of a fully electric transportation future. Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Manage and deliver HW as per program timeline by coordinating the in-house product development from concept phase to industrialization, working closely with the engineering, supply chain, testing, and vehicle teams.
- Drive engineering teams towards containment and resolution of issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program’s schedule to prototype build dates, start of production, and ongoing production.
- Manage open issues list for internal and external projects, driving team to close items on time and at a high level of quality.
- Facilitate and assist the team in creating and maintaining work products including but not limited to design analysis, component derating, functional safety, HW-SW integration.
- Facilitate data-based decision making on time and with sufficient engineering background.
- Effectively present information to technical or non-technical audiences ranging from team level meetings through to Executive briefs and updates.
- Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders.
- Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
- Well-versed in defining roadmaps and delivering with teams that employ agile software development methodologies.
- Anticipate and manage program(s) risks. Perform trade-offs and identify contingency plan(s) or alternate approaches to mitigate risks and provide strong leadership to team in circumstances where there may be uncertainty or ambiguity.
- Partner with teams at various levels of the organization and from different parts of the business to help define and drive a multi-year business capability roadmap & strategic vision
Qualifications
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related.
- Expertise with Jira for project management and confluence
- Expertise with JAMA for requirement documentation
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project
- Agile And Scrum Master Experience, Certification Preferred.
- Experience with automotive is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously in time sensitive situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high-level direction.
- Experience with 3DX, SAP is a plus.
- Ability to craft clear, compelling recommendations supported by strong analysis and business logic, and articulate them to the organization to gain support for recommendations.
- This candidate must be able to work effectively with globally staffed cross functional teams, manage multiple work tasks simultaneously, and deliver complex object-oriented engineering solutions across a highly integrated landscape.
