Position Summary:
EVgo is seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead and manage our internal IT operations, infrastructure, and support functions. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology services across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, with a passion for operational excellence and a strong customer service mindset. The IT Manager will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and external vendors to drive technology improvements that support EVgo’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the IT department, including help desk support, network administration, and systems management.
- Manage IT infrastructure, ensuring uptime, security, and performance of all internal systems and services.
- Lead IT projects related to hardware, software, systems upgrades, and new technology implementation.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with company objectives.
- Administer user access and identity management systems across all platforms.
- Serve as the escalation point for IT issues and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for IT services and software licensing.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on IT performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and oversee data protection initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to staff on IT tools and security awareness.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL) a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2+ years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, including cloud services, networks, and enterprise software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, endpoint management tools, and collaboration platforms like Zoom, Teams, or Slack.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations.
- Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment and support a distributed workforce.
The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000.00 USD to $120,000.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
