The Technical Program Manager role will play a key part in supporting electrification across our network.
The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for owning our supplier quality workstream across our electrical infrastructure equipment portfolio. This will include building tools to intake issues across the equipment's lifecycle, resolve those failure modes, complete pareto exercises on the problems, and develop solutions across the installation phase and supplier base for improvement (including sparing strategies for the network). The TPM will develop this strategy, evaluate trade-offs and drive broad alignment with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the supplier quality roadmap for electrical infrastructure equipment.
- Verify Amazon quality standards are met at suppliers through in-person and remote audits.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance quality metrics and actions. Lead supplier quality issue resolution in partnership with engineering, construction and commissioning teams.
- Develop and support suppliers with quality improvement initiatives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Provide a feedback mechanism from suppliers to internal teams on joint quality issues. Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Develop network spare strategies to support electrical power distribution products powering 100K EVs.
- Evaluating and validating complex root cause analysis reports from a technical perspective using critical thinking and quality principles.
- Drive and own end-to-end problem-solving processes using 8D methodology/DMAIC, analytical tools, and cross-functional teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and validate solutions for supplier quality issues.
- Manage the RMA lifecycle including analysis of returned products, trend identification, documentation, and coordination with suppliers to drive systematic improvements and reduce recurrence.
- Partner with suppliers to enhance their capabilities through technical support, improvement projects, and corrective action plans while ensuring alignment with organization's quality standards.
- Partner with Design Engineering org to build relevant construction bulletins.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
- 5+ years experience working with electrical power distribution products and/or EV chargers
- 3+ years of industry experience in quality/manufacturing engineering
- 3+ years in a quality management function with direct interaction with suppliers.
- Proficient in quality analysis tools such as 8D, SPC, PFMEA, and quality planning approaches such as APQP
- Proven experience in working with external design and manufacturing supply chain partners
- Highly proficient in Excel and the creation of tables, data, dashboards, reports, including advanced analysis features
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Expert knowledge in manufacturing processes, ISO-9000, quality control plans and failure analysis or problem solving methodologies
- Experience implementing firmware validation protocols and quality controls in high-volume power electronics manufacturing environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
