Here at the Mick George Group we are currently recruiting a IT Support Technician/ Apprentice to join the team.
Location: Head Office - 6 Lancaster Way, Ermine Business Park, Huntingdon, PE29 6XU
Hours: Monday - Friday Rota basis between 06:30am - 06:30pm
Pay: Dependent on experience, to be discussed at an interview.

Role Summary
As an IT Support Apprentice at Mick George, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to quip you with the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective IT support to our staff. You will work alongside experienced professional and gain hands-on experience in a range of IT systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT System Support Analyst your main roles and responsibilities will include:
- Provide a first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email and in person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems, applications and peripherals.
- Set up and configure user accounts, permissions and passwords.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
Skills Required
- A strong interest in IT and a passion for Problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office suite (Desired but not mandatory).
- Experience with troubleshooting basic networking issues (Desired but not mandatory).
