As part of our established administration team, you will work alongside healthcare scientists specialising in Sexual Health Sheffield and Stonegrove Centre.
The Sexual Health service is purpose built and although most patients are seen as outpatients in the Clinic, the Department has access to its own inpatient beds on E Floor in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The Departments’ inpatients form part of a 323 bedded Communicable Diseases ward in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The Department, together with the Department of Infectious Diseases forms the Clinical Directorate of Clinical Infection.
- Provide statistical and analytical information for the service management team
- Responsible for the collation of information and accurate completions of quarterly GUMCAD national return for submission to Health Protection Agency London including ensuring clinical coding of all Sexual Health patients.
- Compile and monitor ad hoc attendance statistics and raise issues/anomalies with the Clinical Director/Service Manager
- Collate statistics relating to Key performance indicators Target within GUM for distribution to Management Team
- Assist with the collation of data for annual HARS Return
- Produce and collate adhoc statistics and databases for medical and other members of staff for research and audit programmes
- Assist with administration of INFORM computerised patient administration systems, ensuring any specific confidentiality issues are addressed.
- Contribute to training in Information Management and Information Technology for all GUM clerical and medical staff
- Assist the Business support officer in the management of GUM IT projects
- Assist with the operational running of the Text anywhere System within the Clinic
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate records, having due regard to legal aspects, confidentiality and management information requirements
- Participate in regular meetings with outside agencies to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas
