Job Summary
The PaceMate
® HR Generalist is responsible for assisting with the coordination of the human resources department, with a variety of tasks to support the daily operations, to maintain high standards of quality in accordance with Company policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations. Assist with HR analytics, employee relations, and the planning and administering of the employee benefit programs, communicating with employees, resolving benefit-related issues, and collaborate with other departments and external vendors. Serves as a backup to the VP of People & Culture as needed.

Essential Functions
- Assist in providing a positive onboarding experience for newly hired staff.
- Serve as first point of contact for benefit-related questions from current employees and candidates. Assist new hires with benefit enrollment via Employee Navigator and Voya.
- Assist with coordination of daily benefit processing, including enrollments, terminations, and claims.
- Assist with monthly deduction payables reconciliations.
- Collaborate with payroll and ensure that employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain an intimate level of understanding of PaceMate benefit offerings.
- Assist employees in administration of qualifying events, EOI and other benefit-related issues and queries in a timely manner.
- Research new employee benefit plans and vendors.
- Assist with annual benefit satisfaction survey, to evaluate the efficiency and value of current benefit programs.
- Assist with annual benefit benchmarking.
- Assist with the annual Open Enrollment process and meetings.
- Produce monthly Newsletter, Teams, Slack and SharePoint posts related to employee benefits and wellness initiatives.
- Coordinate annual total compensation statements
- Participate in welfare plan compliance initiatives and requirements.
- Host employee wellness committee
- Assist with annual EEO-1 Reporting
- Assist with ACA tracking and reporting
- Assist with Cobra administration.
- Assist with leave of absence and accommodation requests.
- Assist with 5500 report reviews annually.
- Review quarterly claims trends and make recommendations for applicable employee education.
- Assist with 401k distribution processing and annual compliance package submission
- Assist with completion of employer statement related to Disability Claims
- Assist with department-driven employee recognition programs
- Promote employee engagement, contributing to a positive company culture.
- Act as an organizational advocate, providing appropriate assistance and direction to all levels of staff
- Serve as a backup in managing company Swag Store and employee engagement programs.
- Host monthly Director Communication Meetings.
- Assist managers with custom pulse surveys, Individual Development Plans and Performance Improvement Plans
- Work closely with managers and supervisors to ensure quarterly reviews and annual common-point reviews are completed in a timely manner, and individual and team goals align to organizational goals
- Maintain appropriate levels of current knowledge and the ability to interpret, comprehend and apply policies related to benefit administration, compensation administration, performance management and employment law
- Compare HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents
- Remain up to date on changing state laws, as it relates to human resources
- Ensure company posting of federal and state labor law and minimum wage mandatory posters are up to date
- Assist with the monthly OIG process
- Create draft handbook addendums as we grow into additional states.
- Assist in completion of monthly internal audits of virtual employee files.
- Analyze, access, input and retrieve data
- Report pertinent information and assist with tasks to support department operations.
- Assess touch point and exit interview feedback for trends and create action plans thereafter
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly HR deck related to department KPIs
- Update department and organizational goals within Officevibe.
- Administer tracking of metrics such as promotions from within, turnover, and salary change annually
- Assist with internal auditsand HITRUST and SOC compliance
- Maintain high level understanding of PaceMate products and services
- Assist in ensuring consistency in practices and PaceMate Mission, Vision, and Customer Service standards are met. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and all Company Policies and Procedures
- Assist in special projects as needed

Education, Training, And Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate or associate degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of broad human resources experience; healthcare and technology human resources preferred
- Two or more years of experience in benefit administration or similar role preferred. Intermediate understanding of current HR trends in compensation, benefits, and HR compliance.
- Must possess knowledge of and the ability to operate a HRIS, ATS, LMS, personal computer, and strong MS Excel skills.
- Must possess written and oral communication skills, strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of supporting a remote or virtual workforce, with multi-State experience preferred.
- Ability to keep information confidential. Experience with Teams, Slack, DocuSign, ADP, Employee Navigator, ZenQMS, and KnowBe4 a strong plus
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Licensure/ Certification: PHR, APHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, APTD, CEBS, or CPLP a strong plus.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is consistently required to remain in a stationary position, constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, and frequently communicate with customers and employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information, with the ability to effectively utilize voice over internet protocol; and repetitive motions using fingers and forearms in data entry.
