The Warehouse Equipment Specialist will apply a broad knowledge of policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations in the performance of duties. Duties may include: processing applications; verifying information: providing information to staff and public; recording documents; reconciling expenses; tracking projects; preparing reports; receiving and recording payments and may make budget revisions as requested.
- Perform a variety of routine maintenance and repair work on tools assigned to the division, which includes power tools, hand tools, and building equipment.
- Inspect, measure tools, and equipment for defects, wear; report damage or wear to supervisor.
- Respond a variety of equipment request and repair orders.
- Record check-in and checkout of tools and equipment; maintain logs on tools usage, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist with coordinating and tracking tools, equipment, supplies related to work orders, relay changes in equipment request, and provide related support.
- Maintain and track appropriate inventory levels writing assigned area of responsibilities; assist with tracking requisitions and usage of supplies.
- Perform semi-skilled work on general building construction and maintenance such as carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, demolition, and routine electrical work.
- Prepare, review, and recommend a variety of reports for defective or unusable items business correspondence, and/or summaries as directed; research and verify information for inclusion.
- Maintain administrative budget for assigned area; ensure expenditures and revenue reports are correct and prepare revisions as needed.
- Maintain and update files, compile records of supply transactions, post supplies issued, prepare quarterly inventory materials and supplies, report replacement needs, establish minimum/maximum stock levels, monitor stock levels based on usage, lead-time, and yearly performance reports.
- Provide follow-up on all orders and ensure timely delivery schedules.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director.

- Variety of tools used in building, ground, and street maintenance, including the proper usage, safety procedures, and suggested maintenance routines;

- Applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations as they relate to equipment and building safety;
- Yaqui culture, customs, resources and traditions and/or a willingness to learn.

- Operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer based tracking, inventory software program, and related software applications;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, management, Council members, and the public.Have ability to sufficiently exchange or convey information and receive verbal and written work instructions.
High School Diploma or GED, three (3) years of experience in general equipment maintenance, warehouse inventory control, and/or related field
; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
AND
- Completion of a Basic HVAC Certificate preferred;
- Experience in small equipment and appliance repair preferred.
