Position Overview:
Hawk Aerospace is a startup Aerospace Company, started in 2020. We are in UAV/Drone Manufacturing as well as Training and Services.
Products & Services: Drone Manufacturing, Specialized Project Management, Pilot Deployment Services for Agriculture Spraying & Seeding with AI Based Data Driven technology and also preparing Medical Drone Delivery system in European & American Market.
We are looking for a CTO – Chief Technology Officer As a Drone CTO (Chief Technology Officer), you will be responsible for leading the technological vision, strategy, and innovation for our drone company.
This role comes with Core Team Member equity & investment participation between USD $500K – USD $750K.
You will oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge drone technologies, ensuring they align with the company's goals and objectives. Your role will involve managing a team of engineers and researchers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated on industry trends and advancements. The CTO plays a crucial role in driving the company's technical excellence and maintaining a competitive edge in the drone industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technological Vision and Strategy:
- Develop and communicate the company's technological vision, strategy, and roadmap for drone-related products and services.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities within the drone industry and evaluate their potential impact on the company's business.
- Research and Development:
- Lead the research and development efforts to enhance existing drone technologies and create innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive technology advancements, including hardware, software, and automation systems.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers, researchers, and technical experts.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Collaboration and Partnerships:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Foster strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, such as technology vendors, research institutions, and industry experts, to leverage expertise and accelerate innovation.
- Technology Roadmap Execution:
- Define and execute the technology roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality drone products and services.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful project execution.
- Regulatory Compliance and Standards:
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to drone technologies, ensuring compliance in product design and operations.
- Proactively engage with regulatory bodies and industry associations to influence policies and standards that impact the drone industry.
- Intellectual Property and Innovation:
- Identify opportunities for intellectual property creation through patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and protect the company's intellectual property rights.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is advantageous.
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in a leadership role within the drone industry or related technology fields.
- In-depth knowledge of drone technologies, including hardware, software, sensors, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and industry standards governing drone operations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading research and development initiatives, from concept to commercialization.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for driving innovation and overcoming technical challenges.
THIS IS NOT A SALARY BASED ENGAGEMENT AT PRESENT, AND IT'S PURE EQUITY MODE. REQUIRED YOUR MIN. FINANCIAL INVESTMENT WITH WORK EFFORTS INCLUDED.
Cash Salary details
- The quoted salary figure is after ~9 months after the VC round. Expected salaries for the next few months
- Up-to 3 months: Nil - candidates may be non-full-time till this period (i.e. till the Angel round)
- 3-9 months: up to $50K per annum
- After 9 months: Rs.up to $60 annum (VC funding expected at this point)
- Candidate will have to be full time after the angel round
Equity Stake
Candidate will be offered up-to 10% stake BEFORE the upcoming angel round
Key role requirements (not comprehensive)
Up to 3 months: Manage an outsourced team. Hands-on contribution will have to provided as required
After 3 months: Hire in-house tech team and manage
