What You Will Be Doing
The Staff
Vehicle Interoperability Program Manager will join the ChargePoint team to ensure that all new electric vehicles are fully compatible with ChargePoint’s products. Responsibilities include development, co-ordination and management of ChargePoint’s vehicle interoperability testing process. Success in this role will involve working cross-functionally internally with stakeholders in ChargePoint’s Engineering, Product and Commercial teams as well as externally with stakeholders at the vehicle OEMs. Interoperability testing is typically carried at ChargePoint’s facilities in Campbell, CA however the role may require support of testing in the field as well as at OEM locations within North America.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Works with cross functional stakeholders to evolve and optimize process-related needs of the vehicle interoperability program; build lightweight processes that scale
- Leads in-house testing at ChargePoint’s interoperability test facility; works closely with commercial, facilities and quality teams to host OEMs, drafts test plan, owns the resolution of any issues related to testing and manages the communication of results to internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinates testing at remote facilities
- Facilitates the resolutions of complex vehicle interoperability issues including initial troubleshooting, triage with internal teams, partner communication and tracking of issues to resolution.
- Ensures that program objectives and deliverables are accomplished on time
- Oversee daily job flow, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and part of process. Track milestones for all projects; adjust schedules as necessary, communicate and coordinate resources with other teams (e.g., quality and support) as needed. Manage communications of project status
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years in Project or Program Management role in complex and fast-moving environment is desired preferably within or with a North American Automotive OEM or EVSE
- Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills. Problem solver mentality willing to take initiative and go above and beyond to ensure deliverables are met
- Excellent project management skills. With the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects in parallel.
- Strong technology understanding preferred in both hardware and software, both vehicle and charging side
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willing and able to be detail oriented and hands-on with managing each activity set, while keeping the big picture top of mind
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work quickly and decisively, switching from project management tasks to critical thinking
- Strong understanding of interdepartmental structure and dynamics; capable of managing up, or sideways as needed; has the interpersonal skills to balance competing project requests
- Can demonstrate the ability to lead new initiatives and develop processes from scratch
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Location
Campbell, CA
ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $85,000 to $210,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
