What To Expect
We seek a highly motivated hands-on engineering technician for a position in the Electronics Test and Automation group, a team focused on creating robust testing equipment for our Low Voltage vehicle components.
This team concentrates on developing mechanical, electrical, and software test systems supporting our production lines around the world. In this role, you will be working closely with engineers to support the development of our test systems and manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background in electronics and testing with the ability to operate autonomously to execute on tasks.
What You'll Do
Hardware Assembly: Interpret harness drawings, execute precision cuts, strips, crimps, and assembly of harnesses, facilitate the build of varying form factor test equipmentElectrical System Validation: Utilizing electrical schematics provided by engineering, validate point-to-point wiring, component assembly, and function of manufacturing equipment prior to deployment to the manufacturing lineTroubleshooting: Perform documented reworks, upgrades, general maintenance, and conduct troubleshooting on manufacturing test equipmentSystem Sustaining: Collaborate closely with the engineering team for BOM replacement components procurement, seek technical guidance from engineering on hardware revisions, and liaise with external suppliers for fabrication requirementsSupport: Address occasional simple walk-up task requests from engineering teams promptly and effectivelyTime Management: Independently manage your time to successfully complete parallel assignments, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting project deadlines
What You'll Bring
Hands-On Experience: Possesses a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience working with industrial equipment, machine tools, and both hand and power toolsTool Proficiency: Exhibit proficiency working with general and electrician tools, including soldering skills, and the use of a multimeterManufacturing Environment: Have exposure to a manufacturing environmentFixture Assembly: Prior experience with automated test fixture assembly is highly preferredSoftware Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft suite, SolidWorks and Altium is a plus

Expected Compensation
$28.80 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
