Role SummaryAs one of our Project Managers, you will oversee Remanufacturing projects from concept through launch, including conceptualization, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and turnover to Operations, and ongoing support. Remanufacturing is one of Rivian’s prime initiatives to reduce warranty related costs. This role will focus on the development and rollout of processes, equipment assembly and test designed to address field failures of Rivian Manufactured products that are high value and high instance. Current projects include HV Battery, Drive Unit and Charger related products.
Responsibilities- Work with the cross-functional team to build a comprehensive plan for each project, highlighting the critical path. Track actual progress against the plan. Plan covers all aspects - scope, cost, timing.
- Highlight and actively troubleshoot risks or misses against the plan.
- Build and improve or employ existing project execution tools and processes.
- Distill organizational goals into strategic roadmaps and break down into program plans.
- Actively cultivate Rivian company culture within the Remanufacturing Engineering team.
- Help fill organizational gaps to keep the critical path on track. Examples include:
- Analyzing data to inform a prioritization or problem-solving activity
- Manage, with CAPEX Team, any equipment suppliers or installation contractors
- Facilitating tactical stand-ups or problem-solving activity
- Able to develop/deliver schedules and Quality standards to suppliers, as well as work with Supply Chain to hold suppliers to accountable for meeting expectations.
- Able to travel up to 30% of the time.
Qualifications- 3- 5 years of Project Management experience.
- Interest and demonstrated proficiency in facilitating cross-functional teams. We will consider senior roles for candidates with significant program management and or Manufacturing experience.
- Candidates with significant understanding of manufacturing facilities experience preferred.
- Prior experience with HV Electronic products and Component’s products preferred.
- Familiarity with a standard product development process and common tools such as D/PFMEA, DV/PV testing, PPAP, etc.
- Experience managing 3rd party resources such as contractors, skilled tradespeople, or suppliers.
- BS in an Engineering, Technical or Project Management discipline, Candidates with significant past project management experience will be considered.
- Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
