What To Expect
This position is expected to start around May 2025 and continue through the Summer term (approximately August 2025) or into Fall 2025 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week in-person. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.
Tesla has an outstanding regional opportunity for Architecture intern to join our dynamic Infrastructure Development team. The intern will support the design team in variety of tasks listed below but not limited to. We’re seeking self-motivated professionals with experience working in AutoCAD & Revit to drive projects. The role will be regionally based in Fremont, CA.
What You'll Do
Under supervision and guidance, the intern will support the team with the execution of the design development process – from test fit, concept design, management of survey and due diligence with external consultants. Intern will also be required to support coordination of all technical and business needs required from stakeholders and transform them into a concept drawing based on site-specific conditionsSupport prototype team with prototype updates and block development as neededSupport review construction documents and shop drawings
What You'll Bring
Candidate must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecturePrevious internship and project experience is a plus but not requiredExperience working in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and 3D Sketchup is requiredAbility to effectively communicate verbally, in writing and through drawings/sketchesAbility to understand and communicate work letters to consultant scopeExcellent time management and communication skillsDemonstrate the agility required to quickly shift focus between tasks to deliver on multiple design projectsDetail orientedAbility to drive results

Expected Compensation
$26.44 - $42.07/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
