The Engineering Program Manager is an integral part of the the Autopilot and Electronic Systems Team, overseeing a diverse set of responsibilities including leadership, oversight, tracking, decision-making, escalation, and goal management.
What You'll Do
Manage end-to-end cross-functional programs for sensing products, leading software and hardware developmentResponsible for both upstream definition and downstream execution. Upstream definition includes a responsibility to work with diverse cross functional members to map out requirements, technologies, vendors, intermediate milestones, and success metricsLead fast pace, enriched portfolio of SW feature through Agile methodology, Kanban board, JIRA Sprints, and Scrum Master operationCollaborate with engineering leads and managers to set goals, track deliverables, and report through JIRA dashboards on monthly/quarterly reviewsDrive communication of engineering requirements between Supply Chain, Vendors, and Purchasing for efficient material planningConsolidate inputs from across Tesla for executive reviews, highlighting risks and opportunitiesConstantly improve processes to enhance precision and dependability, while preserving Tesla’s agile cultureProvide strong and confident leadership through rapid development cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience and proof of exceptional abilities1+ years’ experience in product development, ideally with product shipping experience in medium-to-high volume industryDemonstrated ability to understand complex development projects and identify critical elementsDetail oriented with strong documentation and organizational skillsAbility to work cross functionally between engineering, production, and supply chain personnelDemonstrated ability to effectively work cross-functionally between engineering, suppliers, testing, manufacturing, production, and supply chain personnel preferredExperience in planning activities and vendor management in an engineering environment preferredIndividual contributor design engineering experience in electromechanical products preferred

Expected Compensation
$88,000 - $150,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
