What To Expect
The Staff HR Compliance Analyst supports human resources related compliance projects and programs with cross-functional teams and focuses on improving and enhancing HR related policies, practices, and processes company wide. The person in this role will be a part of the broader People Operations team, using their expertise to help continuously improve the employee experience and build excellent compliance solutions for Tesla in North America.
What You'll Do
Build and implement scalable, world-class employment policies and programs that balance legal risk with business impact. Help craft internal guidelines, procedures, change management processes and communicationsLead and collaborate with cross-functional partners in Legal, Government Relations, EH&S, Finance, and HR on complex projects to sustain and enhance employment law compliance across multiple jurisdictionsMonitor the complex and rapidly changing network of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, spot compliance issues, propose and then implement solutionsPartner with applicable HR teams – Total Rewards, Compensation, Recruiting and People Operations – to identify possible process changes needed because of new or modified policiesDrive investigation, training, guidance and change management for HRC initiatives and projectsInvestigate, root cause and problem solve people-related issues in collaboration with the Employee Relations teamIncorporate compliance, operational efficiency, and usability into suggested process changes
What You'll Bring
Minimum 5 years of HR compliance related experience; includes general HR, employee relations, employment law, paralegal experienceExperience with federal and state employment laws and regulations including Title VII, FEHA, ADA, ADEA, Family Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Act, OFCCP, other EEO laws, wage and hour laws, and other federal and local laws affecting the employer-employee relationshipYou can work both autonomously and collaboratively, and you will be effective at juggling and prioritizing multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environmentExperience advising and finding creative solutions for wage and hour issues arising from both exempt and non-exempt workforcesExperience with ADA Title I reasonable accommodationsExperience with employee investigations

Expected Compensation
$64,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
