Role SummaryAs a Sr. Inventory Warehouse Associate, you are responsible for warehouse maintenance associated to inventory accuracy, material relocation, and material movement error resolution. In addition, you will participate in material handling including inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. You will foster a safe working environment, maintain organized cleanliness, and provide feedback on improvement opportunities. The Sr. Inventory Associate will report directly into our Inventory Manager.
Responsibilities- Perform cycle counts and help root cause any identified gaps
- Relocate material based on part characteristics, demand changes, safety concern, and consolidation needs
- Ensure materials are stored in a safe manner
- Determine root cause of material movement errors and resolve them
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Identify inventory concerns based on quantity or quality discrepancies
- Provide input into safety, quality, and throughput opportunities
- Understand and utilize standard work
- Maintain the proper use of equipment
- Repackage materials to meet the distribution requirements for Service Parts
- Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)
- Support general material handling request from leadership and team members
- Participate in group efforts to foster an environment based on continuous improvement
Qualifications- High School diploma or an equivalent education experience
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
- Previous forklift experience
- Experience utilizing a WMS with SAP/EWM preferred
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft OfficeAbility to understand tasks and responsibilities
- Ability operating an order picker above floor level
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
- Frequent use of hands to handle materials up to 50 lbs.
- Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations
- Required to communicate using telephone or email
- Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
