Consider before submitting an application:
This position is expected to start around August 2024 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e. through December 2024) or into Spring 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Energy Service Engineering
The Energy Service NPI enables a healthy fleet of Energy products by coordinating the launch and scale of systems, tools, and information to empower Tesla to resolve unique and challenging technical problems in the deployed fleet efficiently and at scale. We interface with virtually every team and system at Tesla, making our team one of the most FUN to be on. We get to help solve some of Tesla's most interesting and complex problems, like how to replace 2,000-pound battery modules in industrial storage sites around the world and how to design the most cost-effective AND most serviceable chargers for Semi Trucks. We use data analytics, custom software, mechanical, electrical, process, and industrial engineering expertise to tackle these problems with Design Engineering, Field Service, Tooling, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and many more teams
Hardware Design, Energy & Power Electronics Products
We are looking for an intern to work on hardware design of our energy products including Powerwall, Solar Inverter, Backup Switch, Wall Connector, and other AC Chargers, Megapack, Supercharger, Vehicle and Energy products, and Power Converters. In this position, intern will support the Program Managers in the Energy Products Engineering team to coordinate complex, multi-disciplinary projects, developing requirements and timelines, and helping to usher these projects through to completion. Candidate should feel comfortable with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, data and basic data management tools, and be able to quickly share updates on progress. Intern will work on new products or sustaining improvements for existing Energy products. The Energy Products organization architects, designs, builds, tests, and services Tesla’s Energy products. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading teams, and proven ability to drive initiatives to conclusion, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and navigate through an ambiguous environment; enjoys challenges
Special Operations Charging
Tesla sets the bar for what a trustworthy & resilient charging network can be. The Charging Operations team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global charging network. The Special Operations Intern works on the North America Charging Operations team. This dynamic & fast-paced project management role is responsible for logistics, coordination, documentation & processes and deployment planning for Charging Mobile Assets. Projects may include planning for peak network utilization and resiliency events which are critical for customer experience and network uptime. The individual will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders including logistics, field service, engineering, internal systems, and Charging leaders. The ideal candidate has the ability to manage multiple projects with an eye for efficiency and priority, ability to anticipate challenges and solve before they become costly to correct
Charging Infrastructure Deployment
Tesla leads the way in manufacturing, deployment, and operation of the most trustworthy & resilient EV charging network in the world. The Charging team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global level 2 and level 3 charging network, for all EV owners. The ideal candidate has knowledge and/or experience with electrical (e.g., AC/DC systems, single line diagrams) systems, knowledge and/or experience with civil (e.g., concrete & rebar, asphalt, and/or mechanical components) techniques and processes

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
