The Opportunity
This Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) Project Coordinator role is responsible for streamlining the coordination and estimation process for construction and special projects. You'll work closely with field teams, general contractors, and the construction team to ensure timely estimates, purchase orders, and budgets specific to EVCI projects. This includes compiling cost data, managing change requests, and ensuring everything aligns with customer requirements. In essence, you'll be the central point of communication for all EVCI project coordination tasks.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and contractors to ensure successful EV charger installation projects.
- Work alongside construction managers to establish accurate site estimates and define the project's scope of work (SOW) for EV charging station installations.
- Meticulously complete all necessary forms and data entries within designated tracking tools for EV charging installations.
- Closely monitor and track all required deliverables from utility companies for each EV charger infrastructure (EVCI) client.
- Play a key role in coordinating or assisting with project planning, design, and procurement processes for EV charging stations. Oversee and contribute to the preparation of project plans, construction bid documents, and specifications specific to the EVCI division, as designated by management.
- Collaborate with Construction Managers and management to streamline the purchase order process for external contractors involved in EV charger installations.
- Provide expert advice and clear communication to Construction Managers to guarantee customer satisfaction throughout the EV charger installation process.
- Undertake various other duties assigned, all contributing to the successful execution of EV charger projects.
- Participate in meetings and reports as necessary, providing detailed updates on the development and progress of each EV charger installation site.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 Years of Relevant Experience: Two years of direct experience demonstrably related to the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description.
- Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles, practices, techniques, and the relevant tools used to effectively manage projects.
- Construction Regulations Knowledge: Working knowledge of federal, state, and local construction regulations and codes applicable to the design and construction of structural facilities and utilities.
- Multitasking and Project Management Proficiency: Ability to manage multiple EVCI projects simultaneously, demonstrating exceptional multitasking abilities.
- Commitment to Quality and Safety: Ability to ensure adherence to established quality and safety standards throughout all project phases.
- Scheduling and Budgeting Software Skills: Proficient in using scheduling and budgeting software to create and maintain project plans.
- Inventory Management Knowledge: Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management (CMMS) principles as they relate to ordering supplies, equipment, and/or services, and managing inventory control.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships and consistently communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including employees, vendors, customers, and government agencies, through various channels (face-to-face, written communication, and phone calls) while adapting to frequently changing priorities.
- Exceptional Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: A meticulous eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks.
- Clear and Concise Communication: Effective communication, both verbal and written, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
- Recordkeeping Proficiency: Ability to maintain accurate and organized records as required by the role.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to foster a positive and productive working environment by building strong and effective relationships with team members.
- MS Office Suite Expertise: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
