What you’ll do
- Planning/Execution of wire harness testing before prototypes and pre-series build phase.
- Collaborate with cross-functional system error analysis on complex electrical problems and developed counter measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Product Changes with Harness and technical solutions to solve and improve buildability issues.
- Test and Track Problems with Wiring Harness in Pre-Series and Series Phase.
- Summarize and Report Harness issues to Cross-Functional Team (CFT) and actively create solution to process.
- Take responsibility for sourcing and purchasing the necessary equipment required for the verification and validation processes of custom wiring harnesses.
- Provide Instruction and Guidance on Harness Technology and Regulations:
- Define/optimize harness routing in the production process.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. You may be required to be in the Novi, MI area frequently. Applicants should expect the role to require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on the company's behalf.

- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in automotive technology, mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent or equivalent field.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering, production planning or project management
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong skills at organizational navigation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; adept at developing effective partnerships and relationships.
- Proficient Automotive Manufacturing Experience
- Demonstrated ability in creative and strategic problem-solving, with experience troubleshooting vehicle systems.
- Proficient communication skills
- Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematics.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $115,000 - $135,000
