Ford EV Digital Development teams are responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up breakthrough electric vehicles. Responsibilities
- Lay out plans and execute- to build and expand the testing setups from HIL to higher level.
- Help identify gaps in requirements and review the requirements for testability.
- Bring up HIL systems either in house or Vendor based.
- Design Network architecture for the HIL test stations.
- Devise testing plans including HIL to Vehicle
- Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control.
- Develop CI/CD pipeline and common software test framework for HIL test stations.
- Develop test scripts and test plan.
- Fill the gaps on the testing infrastructure by devising solutions.
- Automate test execution, data collection and post-processing to increase test cadence and reporting, ease operation and increase safety
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering degree
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Electric vehicle architecture.
- Strong knowledge on automotive regulatory, environmental, reliability, and safety requirements. SAE, IEC, ISO
- Expertise in HIL systems like NI, dSPACE, Vector or Typhoon.
- Experience testing embedded software.
- Excellent Python or any other scripting language
- Experience working with high voltage test setups and hands-on skills to design, build, bring up & debug test benches.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Labview expertise is a plus.
- Experience setting up environments in dSPACE, CANoe or Veristand.
- Experience with Python testing frameworks (pytest etc)
