We’re currently on the lookout for a
Project Engineering Intern to join our Product Architecture and Validation team. The project engineering intern will help plan, schedule, and align the product architecture team deliverables with our vehicle validation targets ensuring coverage for our reliability and durability metrics and activities. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Architecture and Validation, this role will include collaboration with the product architecture, engineering development, reliability and validation teams.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Position is based in Phoenix, AZ
Responsibilities
- Support the platform release engineers in creating vehicle-level requirements development and approval timing for vehicle content
- Support the improvement of our change management process for product architecture, engineering development, manufacturing, production, and service teams to address product content release updates needed
- Support the alignment of our validation programs with the architecture content release process
- Help drive process improvements for our validation testing and reporting activities
- Gain a working knowledge of electric vehicle systems and architecture
- Interact with a highly skilled team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Engineering Management, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering programs or similar disciplines
- Familiarity with Project Management processes, artifacts, and tools
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, JIRA, and JAMA (or similar) for project management
- Problem-solving skills, with understanding of problem-solving tools and key performance indicators / metrics
- Ability to plan and manage complex projects
- Effective communication skills, written and oral, to all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills
- High Energy / Flexible / Adaptable / Dynamic / “can-do” attitude
- Willingness to grow and be challenged
- Familiarity with automotive technology is preferred but not required
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
