The Sr. Manager, Quality is a founding leader in our new, greenfield Solar Manufacturing group. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for an experienced manufacturing quality executive who thrives on building organizations and systems from the ground up. Build and scale a world-class quality organization from the ground up, establishing QMS, driving yield improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing a data-driven quality culture. Own product quality from R&D through mass production, partnering with engineering, supply chain, and operations to deliver industry-leading cell efficiency, reliability, and cost.
What You'll Do
Build and lead data-driven quality engineering team (engineers, technicians, inspectors) Mentor and develop talent; establish training programs for quality tools Support 24/7 operations with cross-shift quality coverageDefine quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards for manufacturing processesLead internal and external audits; manage corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, fishbone) for major quality events Deploy Statistical Process Control (SPC) across critical parameters Establish process capability studies (Cp, Cpk) and drive continuous improvementEstablish characterization and reliability testing programs Develop supplier quality requirements and qualification protocols (PPAP, FAI)
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience10+ years of experience of manufacturing quality leadership in high-volume, high-speed production — solar or semiconductor industries highly preferredProven track record building and leading a strong team in a 24x7 manufacturing environment. Greenfield start up experience highly preferredISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma (Black Belt), ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) strongly preferredDemonstrated knowledge of and experience in Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, APQP and SixSigma tools and methodologies Track record managing new product and material introductions in a high-complexity manufacturing environmentAbility to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; manages competing priorities, hits deadlines, and follows through without losing composureDetail oriented, data-driven decision-maker who leverages metrics, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving to drive outcomesClear, direct communicator — equally effective on the shop floor and in front of senior leadership; fluent in multi-cultural, multi-functional team environments
