Responsibilities
- Conduct daily patrols, preventive maintenance, and routine checks on utility-scale energy storage systems (BESS), including core components such as PCS, BMS, EMS, battery clusters, transformers, switchgear, and fire suppression systems, to identify and resolve anomalies and ensure safe and stable operation.
- Respond to equipment alarms and fault notifications, perform rapid on-site troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and execute repairs to restore functionality, coordinating with technical teams on complex issues to minimize system downtime and maximize availability.
- Support the commissioning of new projects by assisting with resource allocation for installation verification, grid connection testing, trial operations, and final acceptance inspections.
- Collect and analyze operational data, fault logs, and maintenance records to assess equipment health, identify trends, and prepare periodic reports with optimization suggestions to improve system reliability.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and industry regulations, implement on-site risk controls and permit-to-work systems, and serve as the primary liaison for client communication and stakeholder coordination to ensure high satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering.
- Three or more years of on-site experience in the battery-related industry, with familiarity with the automotive and battery sectors.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of utility-scale energy storage systems is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility-scale energy storage systems is highly preferred.
- Understanding of battery structural principles and common maintenance knowledge.
- Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of after-sales systems; battery maintenance knowledge is a plus.
- Strong team player, adaptable to business travel and flexible working hours, capable of working efficiently under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to write technical documents, communicate effectively with customers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive complex issues to resolution.
- Proficiency in Chinese and English.
