What To Expect
Tesla’s mission is to build a world of sustainable abundance, and this role will be central to achieving that. Today’s energy storage market is growing rapidly, and our battery technology is critical for stabilising the grid, participating in electricity markets, producing green energy with solar/wind farms, and supporting the growth of data centres. Tesla wants to continue leading innovations in the energy sector and open an even larger wave of storage deployments across the Asia Pacific.
This role is to bring audacious “first of its kind” ideas to life and turn them into business-as-usual. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneur and business developer, someone who can quickly understand a problem, identify a solution, then draw on resources from across Tesla’s policy, product, sales, and engineering teams to implement it. This will also require a capable storyteller who is comfortable interfacing with senior teams from utilities, regulators, and developers, understanding their pain points, and tying it all together in a narrative that motivates change. They will report to the Staff Business Development Manager in the Business Development and Sales team, which has a collaborative, friendly, and outcome-focused culture with industry leaders and experts to learn from. Strong preference for Melbourne or Sydney based candidates but, open to other locations.
