🚨 We’re hiring: Forward Deployed Engineer | Applied Intuition | London
We’re continuing to build out the Applied Intuition team here in London, and one of the key roles we’re hiring for is a Forward Deployed Engineer.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to sit close to customers, solve complicated technical problems, and help deploy real autonomy and vehicle intelligence capability into mission-critical environments.
This is not a narrow software engineering role, and it is not a pure pre-sales role either.
We’re looking for someone who can code, talk to customers, drive engagement and take ownership of customer success.
The role will involve things like:
• Working directly with customers to understand and solve complex technical problems
• Deploying and integrating Applied’s vehicle intelligence products into real-world environments
• Bridging customer-built systems with Applied’s platforms and products
• Writing software in Python and/or C++
• Supporting system deployment, integration and troubleshooting
• Working across software, infrastructure, operating systems and some hardware
• Owning technical outcomes and driving projects through ambiguity
We’re particularly interested in people who have worked in forward deployed engineering, customer engineering, product engineering, deployment, implementation, technical solutions, platform engineering or software engineering roles where they have been close to the customer.
You do not need to come from a defence or autonomy background.
What matters most is that you are a strong engineer, comfortable with Python or C++, able to work directly with customers, and resilient enough to be thrown into ambiguous problems without crumbling.

• Linux / operating systems
• Kubernetes / Docker

• Customer success ownership
• AI, ML, data, autonomy, robotics or defence environments
