Who We Are Looking For
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced
SI&OP Manager to join our growing team.
As an SI&OP Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of SI&OP Analysts who support the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process, while managing SI&OP for one of the Slate business units as well. You and the team will do this through forecasting demand (sales planning), optimizing inventory levels, and aligning procurement and production activities to meet customer requirements and business objectives. You will bring SI&OP to life across the business units of Slate, including vehicle (consumer and fleet), service parts, accessories, and apparel and merch. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Brand, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Finance, and other business units to develop a rolling 12 -24 month executable business plan.
What You Get To Do
- Manage a team of SI&OP Analysts responsible for multiple business units of Slate through the Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning process.
- Standardize SI&OP processes across multiple business units of Slate, while driving continuous improvement in processes to improve KPIs across the business functions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other individual business units to gather insights, trends, and historical sales data needed for demand forecast development.
- Develop accurate demand forecasts (including developing forecast models) from the data gathered, including documenting adjustments based on data gathered to determine accuracy of data gathered.
- Measure and evaluate forecast accuracy at multiple lag times to further improve the forecasting process.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and to drive appropriate operational planning.
- Work with procurement, production, and fulfillment teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Work with procurement, production, sales, and other teams to resolve imbalances between Demand, Inventory, and Operations plans, including providing insights to help lead to the most effective and efficient issue resolution.
- Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SI&OP, including but not limited to, forecast accuracy (at multiple time lags), inventory turns, service levels, and production / procurement performance.
- Support the monthly SI&OP cycle through preparation and execution of the monthly SI&OP cycle, including but not limited to, meeting presentation preparation, analysis to support SI&OP recommendations, and SI&OP KPI report outs.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset within SI&OP, focusing on SI&OP processes, forecast accuracy, inventory management, and overall process efficiencies.
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent is preferred. While a degree is preferred, we value hands-on experience and a proven track record of success as a suitable substitute and encourage candidates to apply who can demonstrate relevant and commensurate professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management, preferably working within SI&OP or Demand Planning.
- 2 + years of previous manager experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management role is required.
- Strong analytical skills, with sufficient understanding of data interpretation and forecasting models (both statistical and non-statistical).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis tools, such as SmartSheets, Tableau, Alteryx, or other scripting tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an understanding of how to present complex data in easily understood ways to multiple levels with the business.
- Strong problem solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Comfortable in start-up environments. You can roll up your sleeves to do the work and build, or recommend the tools needed to be successful as the company grows.
- A proactive, “one company” teammate with a continuous improvement approach, equally comfortable with warehousing practices, material management, business planning, and financial implications.
- Capability to work cross-functionally with external partners and internal teams, building strong relationships that produce positive results.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
SALARY RANGE
The compensation for this position is the range Slate reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; work location; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Annual Base Pay Range: $123,339 to $185,009 USD

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in the equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
