What To Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly skilled Construction Leader to join our North America R&D Infrastructure team. We are seeking this position to play a critical role in construction planning and executing projects in the LA area and across the U.S. This role will oversee construction project managers and onsite superintendents ensuring the team is performing on critical projects, effectively problem-solving, and communicating expectations with internal teams. This role requires close collaboration with Estimating, Design, Procurement, Finance, Self-Perform, etc. teams internally to Tesla. This Construction Lead will work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interface with end users, and the R&D engineering teams to ensure delivery of projects under schedule and under budget.
What You'll Do
Lead a team to successfully deliver small to large-scale design build, general contractor, and self-performed construction projects Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of construction projects, enabling your teams to solve problems and prioritize execution Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and company wide Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary, including the ability to clearly communicate risks Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals Provide the best product for your respective project’s customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum 10+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects Previous experience directly managing and being accountable for a team of PMs and onsite SupersAdvanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, and Architectural, Mechanical/Plumbing, Electrical, Life Safety and Controls scopes Strong leadership capability, with competency using digital tools and software (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Construction Cost/Data Analysis) and strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations Travel up to 25-33% across the country

Expected Compensation
$91,200 - $256,500/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
