Scope of Position

As a PowerFlex Business Development Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the organization’s core origination efforts through research, analysis, and quantitative and qualitative deal support. As a Business Development Analyst you must become an expert in the market/area of their focus and provide recommendations on the best course of action for the development of assigned deals.
The position requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling proficiency, and excellent communication skills. Candidates should be intellectually curious, have a passion for renewable energy and be self-motivated, quick learners. The Business Development Analyst will work directly with the firm’s senior professionals and will have the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of the solar/storage/EV charging project analysis process, working closely with colleagues to grow the overall knowledge and effectiveness of the Team, while advancing PowerFlex’s goal to facilitate the rapid transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Analyst supports PowerFlex’s Business Development Directors with a variety of marketing and Business Development activities, including but not limited to:
• Utility tariff and bill analysis• State/utility incentive and policy research• Financial modeling• Presentation preparation• Market strategy guidance• RFP response preparation• Detailed prospect and Portfolio Account research• Maintaining accuracy of CRM data integrity• Solar/storage/EV charging design coordination• Industry advocacy group tracking and participation (i.e. CALSEIA, MSSIA, etc.)• Analysis tools creation/updating
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required• Ability to work in a demanding and entrepreneurial environment• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Demonstrated organization and time management skills• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Intellectual curiosity for grid-edge energy systems• Experience with financial modeling is a plus• Experience with Salesforce is a plus
