The Role
T1 Energy is looking to hire a Manufacturing Facilities Manager who is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing facilities, utilities, and building infrastructure. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of production support systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, water systems, fire protection, security systems, and facility assets. The Facilities Manager leads maintenance personnel and external contractors while supporting manufacturing operations through proactive planning, preventive maintenance, capital projects, and sustainability initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Manage day-to-day operations of manufacturing facilities and supporting infrastructure.
- Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment and facility reliability.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical utilities, including electrical, HVAC, compressed air, water, wastewater, and emergency backup systems.
- Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and facility modifications with minimal impact on production.
- Monitor facility performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, local building codes, fire codes, and environmental regulations.
- Lead facility safety initiatives and support site-wide safety programs.
- Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
- Ensure proper maintenance of fire protection, emergency response, and security systems.
- Support investigations and corrective actions related to facility incidents.
Capital Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Plan and manage facility improvement and expansion projects from concept through completion.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor management plans.
- Identify and implement cost-saving, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs.
- Drive reliability-centered maintenance and asset management strategies.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage facility operating and capital budgets.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, service providers, and contractors.
- Monitor spending and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety and site requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop facilities technicians, maintenance personnel, and support staff.
- Establish performance goals and accountability measures.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate training programs to ensure technical competency and regulatory compliance.
Emergency Response & Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain emergency response and business continuity plans.
- Coordinate facility recovery efforts during emergencies and unplanned outages.
- Serve as a key point of contact for facility-related incidents.
Who You Are
- Strong knowledge of industrial facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and building automation systems.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets, and capital projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 4+ years of facilities, maintenance, or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems.
- Experience with energy management and sustainability programs.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
