What To Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Computed Tomography Laboratory Supervisor to manage shift teams of scanning and disposition technicians in the Cell Manufacturing Computed Tomography Laboratory. The laboratory performs routine Computed Tomography scanning and imaging for cutting-edge Tesla battery cells. In this role, you will work closely with Quality and Engineering technicians, Product Integration, Production and Quality Engineers under the guidance of the Quality Operations Laboratory Manager to supervise and manage Computed Tomography processes, failure analysis, and reporting with the highest standards of safety, quality, and output. In addition to people management, you will oversee laboratory operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must exhibit the knowledge, leadership, and drive needed to overcome priority changes and new challenges to define and execute the optimal path forward. What You'll Do
Lead a team of Computed Tomography Laboratory technicians by communicating test prioritization and delegating work across the shift teamProvide hands-on support alongside technicians to complete testing, including Computed Tomography scanning and disposition for production and engineering supportTake on continuous improvement projects within the laboratory to enhance workflow efficiency and cultureInteract with vendors to troubleshoot equipmentEnforce 5S and workplace hygiene standards across your shiftCommunicate challenges and successes to the Quality Operations Laboratory ManagerEnforce compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies on your shift
What You'll Bring
Strong aptitude with Nikon CT operations along with experience with quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, and PFMEAProficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagramsKnowledge of lean manufacturing practices, 5S, TPS, and TQM Advanced proficiency in operating industrial radiographic equipment and interpretation of multi-planar imagingDetail-oriented with exceptional documentation, organization, and communication skillsAbility to use technological and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data
