Harmony’s headquarters are in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, with a further UK office in central London. We also have offices in France, Poland and Germany, and are active in Italy. This position will be based at our London office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
About the role
The Junior Asset Manager will support Harmony Energy’s European Asset Management Director, contributing to the performance management and governance of Harmony’s operational battery energy storage portfolio, from late-stage construction handover into operations. You will develop a broader role within the operational team and work closely with our Head of Data and Intelligence and the Head of Sustainability to help develop and use Harmony’s asset monitoring and reporting platform, Harmonise, and to support portfolio-level performance, data analytics and sustainability reporting. This will include contributing to the development of dashboards, performance insights and ESG-related metrics to improve how Harmony monitors, reports and optimises its assets. You will be working closely with companies such as Tesla, BP and Envision for both battery operations and maintenance (O&M) and optimisation. The list of equipment manufacturers and optimisers will continue to grow in 2026/27. We are a growing business with big ambitions so the role can be tuned to meet the experience and ambition of the individual candidate.

Key responsibilities – Asset Management
This is a broad and varied role with the opportunity to learn about the energy storage market and help maintain one of the UK’s largest battery portfolios. Key responsibilities include supporting the Asset Management team with the following:
- Monitoring Battery Availability/Warranty compliance and Revenue Performance identifying trends, underperformance and potential contractual or warranty risks.
- Acting as a coordination point between asset management, O&M, H&S, data and commercial stakeholders, ensuring issues are logged, tracked and escalated appropriately.
- Site visits for asset management inspections.
- Managing contractor O&M teams with performance monitoring of O&M contractors, including maintenance delivery, outage analysis, reporting quality and spares readiness.
- Working with the wider team to develop data strategies, dashboards and performance tracking tools using Harmonise and associated platforms.
- Assist with preparation of asset performance reports, O&M reports and internal dashboards.
- Keep abreast of UK and European market activity and regulatory policy.
- Supporting asset management budgeting activities, including commercial invoice reconciliation and tracking of O&M costs and performance against budget.
- Ensuring H&S Policy is adhered to across sites.
- Capacity Market contract management.
- Document control and management of asset documentation, from construction handover to the rest of the asset lifecycle.
Key responsibilities – Sustainability
- Tracking carbon avoidance and other key impact metrics.
- ESG reporting and governance.
- Managing the implementation and maintenance of the portfolio’s landscaping schemes.
- Integrating ESG into the whole project.
Experience and skills
- MA degree in Science or Engineering is valued but not essential.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship-management skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to analyse contracts and technical documentation effectively.
- Demonstrate initiative and a proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks through to completion.
- Interest in data, dashboards and performance analytics is beneficial.
