We are looking for a talented, passionate Localization Specialist to join our growing Tesla Energy Tooling, Process, and Training team, based in Hayward, California. To ensure high-quality translations of technical content for Tesla Energy products, we need an experienced Localization Specialist to work effectively with our product managers, content authors, local reviewers, platform vendors, and third-party language service providers, creating a seamless content experience for global audiences.
What You'll Do
Coordinate the production (translation, review, quality assurance, and implementation) of translations for technical documents, videos, and other content mediums (Example: eLearning modules)Identify and resolve linguistic and market-specific issues before launchRespond to translators’ inquiries and provide instructions and visual context as neededWork with external localization vendors to manage translation schedules and quality, ensuring they are within Tesla KPIsDevelop and maintain key business partnerships with cross-functional teams (local markets, Technical Publications, Video Production, Firmware, Legal, etc.) and regularly communicate with them to align and calibrate language, style, terminology, and processCreate and maintain linguistic assets (translation memories, glossaries, style guides, reference material)Provide and maintain necessary enablement for internal and external key stakeholders
What You'll Bring
2+ years of experience in web and/or software localization processes desirableAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross-functionally environment Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective programs and processes Eye for detail, even under pressure Experience working with localization tools such as Trados Enterprise is a plus

Expected Compensation
$60,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
