Job Summary
The Maintenance Planner/ Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Coordinator is responsible for setting up and maintaining MRO and indirect material, as well as the storage of material to meet operations requirements, along with assisting the maintenance department in planning and spare part acquisitions. The Maintenance Planner/ MRO Coordinator is tasked with coordinating Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) requirements and daily operational needs. As Maintenance Planner/ MRO Coordinator the role is responsible for maintaining Indirect, MRO and spare parts inventory for the Springboro manufacturing site. The Maintenance Planner/ MRO Coordinator keeps the facility running efficiently by overseeing Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules in accordance with equipment vendor recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and assist with the management or supervision of the Maintenance team.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Set up and maintain indirect material crib as required to support operations, maintenance, and others.
- Create material master for Indirect and Material and Equipment (MAE) parts within Plex.
- Perform periodic maintenance on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to verify inventory levels.
- Perform MRP runs and order parts as needed to maintain correct inventory levels.
- Provide effective and appropriate assistance to the leadership team and safety committees.
- Verify items received are correct and goods receipt is acknowledged by the appropriate person and archived properly.
- Locate vendors, obtain quotes, and order spare parts as required to support operations, maintenance, engineering and purchasing.
- Lead spare parts procurement and set up for new and existing equipment with the support of maintenance and engineering.
- Lead maintenance department with documenting change logs, work orders, PM’s, and monthly equipment work order review meetings.
- Kit parts for PM’s (Preventive maintenance) workorders.
- Assist with the management of and support the preventive and predictive maintenance program and ensure compliance with all related documentation.
- Keep equipment records up to date, make access to prints and manuals part of kitting process.
- Support Plex Key user for maintenance work order and preventive maintenance scheduling and planning.
- Work in partnership with leadership teams to ensure all critical spare parts and maintenance requirements are included in facility or MAE projects.
- Support the production operations.
- Support the maintenance department as required.
- Assist with contractor safety expectations and training as needed.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Minimum four (4) years experience in MRO planning.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in industrial manufacturing operations.
- Training in OSHA, LOTO, Confined Space and Hazcom.
- Working knowledge of Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems including OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 and TS16949.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Plex, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fork truck license and safe material handling practices training.
- Hazardous Material Handling and DOT transportation packaging and shipping requirements
- Basic research methods and data analysis techniques.
- Training in First Aid, CPR and BBP.
- Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- May need to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and/or position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead.
- May need to occasionally move about in industrial environments, and on uneven terrain.
- The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud.
- Must be able to operate a forklift, a boom lift, scissors lift, any other equipment as needed.
- The ability to view equipment and understand what is needed and deal with outside services as well as in-house department needs.
- May be required to recognize small numbers, letters, symbols, colours on prints, and/or operate field instruments/equipment.
