About This Role
As a Sales Planning and Order Management Intern, you will support the Sales Planning & Order Management Lead in optimizing vehicle planning, forecasting, and order management processes.
This role offers hands-on experience in coordinating vehicle supply and demand, working closely with commercial, operational, and global sales planning teams to contribute to strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operational Planning
- Assist in preparing and updating the monthly car flow plan, including sales, production, vehicle arrivals, and stock supply across model and engine variants.
- Support the Commercial Sales Team with data entry and analysis for new vehicle sales planning and monthly sales volume submissions.
- Help align production volumes with the Global Order-to-Delivery team to support inventory optimization.
- Contribute to weekly sales forecasts by gathering data and identifying trends or risks.
- Provide support for ad hoc sales reporting and data compilation for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in developing and maintaining files and tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct analysis on inventory sell-down trends and order cancellations to support inventory management and sales strategies.
Order Management
- Assist in managing vehicle orders within production quotas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support analysis of order trends (by model, engine, pack, options) to enhance vehicle profitability.
- Provide administrative support for vehicle sourcing and order processing for departments such as Marketing, Press, and Internal Fleets.
Requirements
- Preferred experience in the vehicle, sales, and planning environment OR a current enrollment in a degree program in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of Power BI, Qlik and database usage.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Analytical mindset with an interest in problem-solving and operational processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) at an intermediate level.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to team goals.
