Description
Bollinger Motors is seeking a Field Parts and Service Representative to be responsible for providing on-site service and support to customers, as well as managing the distribution and sales of parts. Call on and assist dealerships & fleets for technical support in the areas of electric vehicle parts, service, and customer satisfaction along with ensuring dealers and fleet operations maintain functioning of automotive service equipment. Overall, a Field Parts & Service Representative plays a crucial role in providing technical support and ensuring the availability of parts to customers. They contribute to customer satisfaction and brand loyalty through their expertise, responsiveness, and professionalism. This is a remote role and preferred location is the Chicago land area. Region coverage includes the following states: Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North & South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. This position reports to the Aftersales Network Director located at the Oak Park, MI headquarters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Parts distribution and sales:
- Managing the inventory of parts and ensuring availability for sales and service.
- Collaborating with the parts department to order and deliver parts to customers.
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding parts availability, pricing, and compatibility.
- Processing parts orders and maintaining accurate records of sales and inventory.
On-site service and support:
- Traveling to customer locations for installation, repair, or maintenance of automotive equipment.
- Conducting diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Providing technical guidance and training to customers on the use and maintenance of automotive products.
- Ensuring that work is completed within allocated timeframes and meeting quality standards.
Customer relationship management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Conducting regular follow-ups to ensure customer needs are met and addressing any concerns.
Technical support and documentation:
- Providing technical support and advice to internal teams, such as sales and customer service.
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge, EV technology and staying informed about industry trends and advancements
- Documenting service and repair activities, including diagnostics, repairs made, and parts used.
- Generating reports related to service and parts activities, such as sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements

- An associate or bachelor’s degree in automotive technology or a related field may be preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive parts sales, service, & repair is highly desirable.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of automotive electrification (high voltage EVs) equipment and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while in the field.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and automotive diagnostic tools focusing on EV architecture.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively to customer locations.
