What This Job Involves –
This position is responsible for overseeing multiple facilities within a large portfolio, managing client relationships, and leading the facility management service delivery team. The role involves ensuring compliance with all contractual and operational requirements, implementing best practices, and executing strategic plans to achieve key performance objectives across the region.
What is your day to day?
- Developing and supporting high-performance site teams, focusing on Facilities Managers and regional support personnel
- Building and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders
- Monitoring service delivery and resolving escalated site issues
- Managing capital and expense budgets, variance reporting, and overall P&L performance
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of financial and operational reports
- Implementing best practices and innovations in facility management
- Providing real estate advisory services to internal and client teams
- Coordinating with third-party service providers and landlords
- Leading special projects and initiatives
Required
Desired experience and technical skills
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in corporate environments, third-party service provision, or consulting
- Experience working in union environments and with union work rules
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in MS Office and various web-based applications, including mobile technologies
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
- Knowledge of skilled trades and building-related systems
- Demonstrated safety leadership
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in facilities management with business emphasis
- Familiarity with project delivery processes and capital planning functions
- Ability to manage ambiguity and change effectively
- Experience presenting to large groups
- Working knowledge of real estate advisory services
