EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Operations & Compliance Manager for one of our partners that is a market and innovation leader in sustainable mobility and EV charging. In this position, you will lead and oversee the company's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and facilities management, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining compliance with safety regulations, optimizing environmental practices, and managing facilities to support a productive and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage EHS programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding workplace safety, environmental regulations, and hazard controls
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures
- Lead EHS training programs for employees and management to promote a culture of safety awareness and environmental stewardship
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions are taken
- Collaborate with external EHS consultants and regulatory bodies to stay informed of changes in safety standards and regulations
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and safety of all company facilities, including office spaces, warehouses, and other operational sites
- Develop and implement facility management strategies to optimize space, equipment, and resource usage
- Coordinate with external vendors for facility services, including security, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
- Implement and manage emergency preparedness plans and procedures for the company's facilities
- Develop and manage the annual EHS and facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources
- Monitor spending and negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure the best value for services and supplies
- Lead and mentor the facilities teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support for the company's strategic initiatives
- Act as a liaison between employees, management, and external stakeholders on all matters related to facilities and EHS
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations, OSHA standards, and best practices
- Proven experience managing facility operations, including construction, maintenance, and vendor management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Strategic planning and organizational management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Budget management and resource allocation experience
- Proficiency in facilities and safety management software
- Strong leadership and team development abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in EHS or Facilities Management (e.g., CSP, CFM)
- Experience in the clean energy or sustainable mobility industry
- Knowledge of sustainable facility management practices
- Experience with implementing and managing emergency response systems
